Housekeeping Supervisor

Overview

Starting pay (based on experience): $22.00 per hour

Our Housekeeping Team ensures the comfort of our senior living residents, both in their apartments and in our shared community areas.  The Housekeeping Supervisor must be a strong leader who can ensure the quality of the work of the housekeeping, janitorial, and laundry staff.  They should lead by example, positively motivate their team members, and be able to respond to resident concerns promptly and kindly.  The right person for this job will be hardworking, have an eye for detail, and maintain the highest standards for resident rooms and community spaces

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule staff to ensure all cleaning and laundry work is covered as contracted
• Respond to resident concerns or complaints
• Inspect five apartments per housekeeper per week and assign corrections as needed
• Varied cleaning assignments
• Schedule larger cleaning jobs such as carpet shampooing by janitorial team
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations
• Train and orient new Environmental Services team members
• Other tasks as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

• Previous related experience is preferred
• Ability to operate industrial laundry and carpet-cleaning equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
